Summer Dill Pickles

INGREDIENTS

  • Cumbers - 4 pounds
  • Dill Sprigs - 20 each
  • Distilled Vinegar - 2 cups
  • Salt - 1/4 cup
  • Sugar - 4 tsp
  • Caraway Seeds 4 tsp
  • Water - 4 cups

 

INSTRUCTIONS


  • Slice cumbers to 1/8 inch thick. Add to large container with dill sprigs.
  • Heat remaining ingredients until sugar dissolves.
  • Cool completely and pour over cucumbers. 

This recipe is the perfect way to preserve the summer harvest and add flavor to many dishes. Of course they are perfect with a burger, but you can use them in deviled eggs or potato salad.
