Colonial Gardens presents Art in the Garden

Art in the Garden Friday, May 28th from 6pm-8pm.

About this Event: During Art in the Garden, our selected artist will feature a collection of his or her artwork that will be available for purchase. Our featured artist will be accompanied by live music for the event. We will have cocktails and food available for purchase in our market. This event is free to the public. We invite our guests to come support our featured artist, listen to live music in our courtyard, and enjoy Colonial Gardens with a drink in hand. Art in the Garden will begin Friday, May 28th from 6pm-8pm. Colonial Gardens will host Art in the Garden the last Friday of the month. Upcoming Art in the Garden Dates:

About the Artist:  Colonial Gardens is a proud partner of Summit Art. A special thank you to Summit Art for partnering with Colonial Gardens and introducing us to some incredible artists. An accomplished artist, Teddy Jackson has received numerous awards.   Winning Best of Show at the 40th Blue Springs Art League Fine Art Show, first place in Oil at the Stems Plein Air Paint and in both Oil and Animal/Wildlife categories at the Cass County Fair.  She received 1st Honorable Mention at the Invitational Paint Out at Chandler Hill Winery during the Augusta Plein Air Festival.   Teddy received Purchase Awards at the Vineyard Hill Paint during the Augusta Plein Air Festival and at the 4th Friday Plein Air in Lee’s Summit, MO.  At the Door County Plein Air Festival’s Dockside Quick Paint Competition, comprised of 150 artists, she won 3rd place.   One of her paintings, Off the Beaten Track, was in the top 10% at the 3rd Annual Missouri Valley Impressionists Society Juried Exhibition at the Albrecht Kemper Museum of Art, St. Joseph, MO. Teddy works primarily in Oil and Acrylic.  Her favorite subject is landscape, although she has painted a wide variety of subjects. She has taken the opportunity to paint internationally in France and Scandinavia. Teddy began plein air painting in 2006, attending the yearly Augusta, MO Plein Air Events, Door County Plein Air Festivals, Door County, WI, Fairfield, IL Plein Air Paint Outs, Bluff Strokes Plein Air, Dubuque, IA, OPA Plein Air Paints in Marceline, MO, Stems Plein Air Paints, Overland Park, KS., and Paint Parkville, Parkville, MO.   She is an active member of the Missouri Valley Impressionist Society painting regularly in their Paint Outs and the special events.
